Millionaire Killer – Your Music
This is a touchy subject for we Americans spend a fortune to listen to other people’s music. What I suggest here is going to piss a lot of people off because I believe that instead of going out and buying other peoples music, you should be taking the time to learn how to play a musical instrument yourself and make your own music.
One of the stupidest things that I have ever seen is the insanity surrounding the phenomenon “Guitar Hero”. Jesus people. Those greedy bastards at the game manufacturing companies really got us on this one.
Does anybody out there realize how stupid it is to pick up a piece of plastic with a little toggle switch that you wiggle back and forth and call it playing a guitar! Here again it’s the way that we are being re-wired as human beings. It’s easy, and you get to pretend to be a rock star instead of buying a real guitar, taking lessons and going through the process of becoming a musician, which takes discipline and hard work. There is no value whatsoever to pretending to be a rock star and it will cost you a fortune to wiggle your toggle switch.
Another money drainer is your music. Everywhere you go you see people wired up to their ipods and spending there time downloading and organizing their music. Ladies and gentlemen, the record companies are counting on this. Do you realize that while you are sitting there listening to music that it is costing you money? Unless you are down loading music for free, and if you are you are breaking the law, that every note is costing you a buck. Even if you’re not paying for the actual music your pumping into your skull it is costing you money by way of the device you had to buy.
If you bought an ipod, it cost you and you are now a target that corporate America will zero in on and proceed to drain you of your finances. Fact is that your house is probably full of devices that can play your music. Another fact is that because you have been sold on the next best thing, you’re no longer using the devices that you purchased to play your music. For corporate America, this is wonderful news. For you, it means that you have once again been slaughtered at the register.
Americans are buying things that we no longer need just because we saw it on television or saw someone in a movie use it and it looked cool. If you are not yet rich and listen to an ipod it has cost you. You can now subtract the cost of the ipod, custom made ear phones and the cost of down loading the music away from the million that you probably should already have by now. Same goes for our VHS tape machines that are now DVD machines that will soon be blu-ray machines that will soon be down loaded movie files followed by cranial implants. That means that the cost of a movie that you own, by the time you really own it will be a few hundred dollars each. Not possible you might say? Think again.
