The speed at which technology evolves is quite scary. It seems like only yesterday that we first got TVs and music players, now everything is HD, flat screen, digital and MP4. Most technology we see these days is all about making everything that bit faster, bigger, stronger or more intense. This said, there is one new technology that aims to slow things down, chill us out, and make us feel better.
The virtual spa is a online computer program that aims to simulate the experience of being in a health spa. It has been created by Fusion Gaming in England and it incorporated a full media headset in order to give the most real experience to the user. Your time in the can be spent checking out all the rooms, gardens and facilities, or making some new ones if you like. You can plug your own selection of relaxing music into the game and even book in for a luxurious body polish and massage if you’d like. The game also comes with a vibration pad that attaches to your chair and simulates the feeling of having various different treatments. Other activities include going for a swim, having a sauna and even playing croquet.
According to the developers after playing the game for twenty minutes, you could reduce your heart rate by as much as thirty percent. The suggest market for the game are people who cannot afford to take spa days themselves or people who suffer from tension or stress. They hope that once the game takes off they will be able to start sending out actual skin care products to users so that can complete that spa experience without leaving the house
