Best Electrohouse Video 2010

Grum is the latest producer to explode onto the electrohouse scene with a smash of a new electrohouse video – “Can’t Shake This Feeling” which you can check out on Youtube right now for one of the best new electro artists to appear on the scene in 2010.

What are dance music and DJ critics, punters, fans and bloggers saying about Grum?

“Grum’s super-cool D.I.Y. ethic and taste for electronic music old and new means he’s probably our hottest tip since Aeroplane first took off” Ralph Moore, Mixmag

“If Grum is what the future of electronic music sounds like (and we’re pretty sure he is), save us a spot on the dancefloor” Luke Crisell, Nylon

lready garnering support from luminaries such as Annie Mac and Zane Lowe with his monstrous debut single, ‘Runaway’, Grum is one artist set to take dance music on only a route that artists such as Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy are familiar with. I mean who gets to be the second most blogged artist on Hype Machine, just behind Radiohead, with their first track? It’s these sorts of early accolades that have got artists such as Friendly Fires, Armand Van Helden and Late of The Pier requesting his remixing talents, propelling their original choonage to electrical proportions across dancefloors everywhere.

Yet another awesome video involving food being indulged in an indecent manner. This time it’s GRUM behind the whole shebang. Directed by The General Assembly the new video for the track “Can’t Shake This Feeling” is fantastic and sexy! Check out the madness right over here: Everyone has those days when they wake up and go “If I don’t see baked beans cascading down a hot chick’s cleavage today, I’m going to tattoo Justin Bieber’s face onto my back as big as it will go, and then set myself on fire in the first Men’s Warehouse I can find.” Reader, if today is that day for you, then Grum is here to save you.

This clip for “Can’t Shake This Feeling,” directed by The General Assembly is unnecessarily good. It should serve as an advisory to all of the bands out there that regularly offer up substandard clips; please, don’t slack off. Also, music videos about feeder porn are usually a step in the right direction.

Grum’s new single ‘Can’t Shake This Feeling’ is finally here. And man, this track together with this video totally kills it! FEEDER FRENZY style. Expect his forthcoming debut album to be BIG cause these sounds are totally fresh! As promised before here is his remix of the TV Rock ft. Rudy / Axwell track ‘In The Air’. If you somehow doubted this weekend would rock, you better think again. Enjoy!

New Grum original track. It’s a doozy. The music video is fantastic as well, combining 4 of mans favourite things: Grum, babes, food, n humour. Disco Potential is not responsible for any nausea you experience while watching this clip.

With disco having a reemergence of sorts in various musical circles, it seems only fitting that this shiny, disco-soaked tune from producer GRUM would have a video with a retro feel and afro-laden antagonist. There are also a bunch of girls consuming food in a way that falls somewhere between sensual and grotesque, the choice is yours though. Grum- Can’t Shake This Feeling Damn Grum’s got it right. A video based around tasty girls scarfing piles of food. wow. delicious. Here are a few more Grum goodies.

Oh yes. So Grum just dropped this new track/video a few hours ago on YouTube. EARGASM! I kid you not. I don’t know if the vocals sampled are from some old song because it has got a really 80s vibe to it. In any case, its a superb kind of funk. You can also expect Grum’s usual killer beats mixed in. Can’t wait to hear more.

As for the video, well, you decide. One of the funniest stuff I’ve seen this week. The guy reminds me of a younger, creepier Richard Simmons. Only that he’s doing the opposite of getting people fit.

Is retro even still around? Well, with GRUM’s new track “Can’t Shake This Feeling,” you literally can’t shake those retro vibes. Following brethen such as Chromeo and the LCD Soundsystem, GRUM pokes his cues on fun house, nu-disco and funk and everything late 70s to early 80s on his new music video for “Can’t Shake This Feeling.” Tight workout outfits on some lean thin women given the best kind of feeling they can feel in those outfits… FOOD.

Just to show that Solid Bump can spread the love as well as receive it – we decided to shine a little light on one of our favorite up & coming producers again. Ghosts of Venice is getting to be well known for both his perfectly honed disco cut ups as well as his strangely enthusiastic “friendship” with Garrett from Le Principle. All jokes aside, truly he is a name to watch in 2010. Below is a free download (just click the little arrow) of his edit of the classic – Spiller “GrooveJet”, which was used in Tommie Sunshine’s WMC sampler. To make the deal even sweeter – peep the streaming preview of his official remix of Grum’s epic “Can’t Shake This Feeling” which just dropped this week on Beatport.

Just found this awesome video from Grum via my friend on twitter @wesleywhatwhat At first I was like, “Cmon, another slow motion video? And even more, a slow motion video of girls and food.” But no, I was wrong. There is more to this video that more frames per second. Be sure to check out this one for some good times.

Grum is releasing a new track and here’s the music video it. Girls stuffing there face with foods. Reminiscent of a 80′s pop/disco track. So good. Too bad it isn’t released yet. We’ll eventually post it whenever we get it.

Luckily we didn’t mention Alexander Fleming, the Scottish inventor of penicillin in our intro because we made need his help in administering some medication when things get a little out of hand. “Watch the moving bodies, as they react to the sound” pulsates through a reverberating bass-line as the track peaks into the aural equivalent of a synthesized-rocket ready for lift off. Grum explains in more detail, “Sound Reaction is just me letting go with my music and doing something big, fun, noisy, and designed for the dancefloor. A mixture of rave and electro with a hint of disco. I’m very into 80s new wave and italo and came across this sample…it all just grew from there really”.

Not only is his music revolutionary but also the artwork behind his releases. The artwork for all Grum’s releases incorporates the 2-D approach, developed by David Ross, the creative genius behind Mylo’s Destroy Rock ‘n’ Roll designs. For the not-so tech-savvy, it basically means that with the right application you can take a picture of the artwork – whether it be on a billboard or in a magazine – with your mobile phone and it will direct you straight to Grum’s music, with an option to purchase there and then – genius!

With Grum at the forefront in more ways than one, forthcoming appearances at Fabric and Bestival, tours in Australia and Brazil and a ridiculous debut album on the way, 2009 is all about Grum. Disctronica, anyone?
