Ignoring that second poster… probably because Selena has more pop beats and it’s what mainstream likes most these days. Demi is 10x more talented true, but she needs to work harder to progress and be noticed by crowds outside mainstream. Her music is like pop-rock even alternative to some degree and it’s not what kids like these days unfortunetly. Kids like Lady Gaga, Miley, Ke$ha etc generic pop beats. Which Selena, fits in nicely with high production = more sales.
