More Than Popular Artists
It would seem that last year and this year have and will be fantastic years for discovering new talent and making big names of people that already exist, here are some of the best ones that people may not have heard of before 2009/10.
Lady Gaga
Roll back time a couple of years, would there have been many people outside of New York that had ever heard of the name Lady Gaga, how about the name Stefani Germanotta, most likely not, well it would seem now that after just one album release she is set to become one of the biggest artists of all time!. She writes what she wants and it is a style that crosses between pop, dance and electronic.
Paramore
I have been a proud fan of this band since the start and they have been going for around 6 years with the brilliant Hayley Williams fronting them. It is the third album “Brand New Eyes” that attracted a lot of attention as it stormed to the charts in the UK at the number one spot and this I feel was very much deserved. Paramore are certainly up there on my favourite bands.
Taylor Swift
Although Taylor Swift actually made it pretty big in America with her, self titled debut album it would seem that what made even bigger was her second album “Fearless” and it was then that I heard about her. I have since gone on to buy her first album too and think she is a real credit to the industry simply because her style is country but not the old kind of country so many people are used too. If you haven’t heard her yet I would certainly recommend you do.
All in all get out those guitars or banjos and get playing, you could even find yourself playing on the old electro acoustic guitars.
