To play music files through a PA-system – What do I need?
I’m about to buy a lap-top to store music files on, to play for people turning up to dance at local community centres. I know I need some kind of mixer, to take USB in and shunt a signal out through Phono RCA or some other standard… What hardware do I need to buy? Anyone using a set-up they can recommend for price and reliability?

Most importantly in the UK you need a Licence!!! Your Local Authority should be able to tell you which ones and of course charge you a lot of mney for them.
