Mp3 Djs, Is the sound Quality Good Enough??
I’m beginning to purchase music for my dj collection and would like to know if stores like the itunes music store provide good enough music to play at live gigs. I do not want to buy cds because most likely only 1 song will be popular. Will the people on the dance floor notice the difference between the mp3 itunes quality and original cd quality? And how important is music quality when Djing?
It will work just fine. The sound quality on MP3′s at 192 Kbps is as good or better than most public sound systems can reproduce anyway. My brother has a KJ business and has over 70,000 MP3 songs. The only thing anyone has ever noticed is how much more streamlined and organized his shows are now that he has the MP3′s instead of CDs.
If you do go for it, get the best DJ/KJ software on the market. PCDJ/KJ. You can get it new on eBay for around $70.00.
